Neptune Appoints Senior Barclays Wealth Veteran

UK-based Neptune Investment Management has appointed Richard Green, a managing director at Barclays Wealth, as corporate development director. Mr Green will join the board as an executive director on 01 May 2008. He will continue as a member of Barclays Wealth’s UK Private Bank Advisory Board. Mr Green was one of the original team to set up Barclays Private Bank, a business he then went on to manage. Prior to joining Barclays, he was a private client stockbroker at Grieveson Grant. In a statement Neptune says the appointment highlights the importance that it places in developing this area of the business and demonstrates its commitment to understanding and meeting the needs of wealth managers and private client stockbrokers. Commenting on the strategic appointment, Robin Geffen, Neptune managing director, said: “Richard is one of the leading private bankers of his generation and his addition to the Neptune team exemplifies our desire to recruit people who are the very best in their field. Richard will not only hold a managerial role within Neptune but his experience will benefit our entire client base as we drive our proposition across a wider range of investors.” Mark Kibblewhite, head of UK Private Banking, Barclays Wealth said: “Richard has given Barclays years of superlative service and we wish him well in his future endeavours.
